Insurance Companies Union Calls on Pharmacists Syndicate to Adhere to Agreements

SadaNews - The Palestinian Insurance Companies Union condemned the lack of seriousness from the Pharmacists Syndicate and its insistence on not adhering to the agreements made between the two parties, the latest of which was sponsored by the Palestinian Capital Market Authority.

The union expressed its dismay at the policy pursued by the syndicate, which rejects contractual freedom between companies and pharmacies, harming the interests of contractors and beneficiaries of services.

The union pointed out that the syndicate, in its statements, deliberately insults certain companies, raising questions about the motives and objectives behind such actions.

The union also confirmed that all member companies expressed their willingness to address any outstanding claims, and communication was indeed made with a representative of the syndicate in this regard, but the syndicate does not provide any opportunity for the efforts made and has not adhered to the agreements.

The union denounced the syndicate's constant resort to a language that is far removed from the spirit of partnership and solidarity in light of the difficult economic conditions that our people are experiencing.

The union thanked the Capital Market Authority for its efforts to resolve the crisis last month, calling for continued efforts to protect health insurance policyholders and beneficiaries of this essential service amid the current reality in the country.

It is noteworthy that insurance companies in Palestine collectively pay approximately 50 million shekels annually to pharmacies operating in Palestine.
