"Foreign Ministry" condemns the massacre of the occupation against displaced people in Al-Rimal neighborhood and calls for international action

SadaNews - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the atrocious crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces last night, Saturday, when they targeted tents housing displaced individuals near the Al-Rimal Preparatory School for Boys in the Al-Rimal neighborhood west of Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of six citizens, including two women, and the injury of no less than 15 others, most of whom are children.

The ministry considers that targeting places housing displaced individuals, which include children, women, and families that have lost their homes, falls within the scope of the ongoing genocide against our Palestinian people, reflecting a blatant disregard for the rules of international humanitarian law and the obligations of the occupying power, as well as deepening the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and ignoring the plan of U.S. President Donald Trump and the decisions of the Security Council, including Resolution 2803.

In a statement released today, Sunday, the ministry held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for this crime and all other crimes committed against our people, stressing that the continuous impunity encourages the repetition of massacres against Palestinian civilians and escalates them, undermining any chances for a just peace and justice.

The ministry called on the intermediary and guarantor countries, led by the United States, to take immediate action and pressure Israel, the occupying power, to stop its crimes against Palestinian civilians and ensure full compliance with relevant international resolutions, and to secure the immediate and sustained entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip without restrictions.

It also renewed its demand for the international community to take urgent and effective action and activate international accountability mechanisms to immediately halt all violations, practices, policies, and systematic crimes committed against our people in the Gaza Strip, to ensure a sustainable flow of humanitarian assistance without restrictions, and to allow the entry of essential materials for shelter, treatment, and relief, leading to a comprehensive cessation of aggression, complete Israeli withdrawal, recovery and reconstruction, and to secure international protection for our Palestinian people and to realize their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
