Iranian MP: We Will Respond "Harshly" to Israel's Attack on Beirut Suburb
SadaNews - Iranian parliament member Ibrahim Rezaei stated today, Sunday, that Tehran will respond "harshly" to the Israeli attack on the southern suburb of Beirut, following the Israeli army's announcement of targeting facilities belonging to Hezbollah in the area.
This was mentioned in a post by Rezaei on the "X" platform.
The Israeli army launched an airstrike on the southern suburb of Beirut today, Sunday, according to an announcement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office, stating that it was in response to Hezbollah firing projectiles towards northern Israel.
It is worth noting that this is the first airstrike targeting the southern suburb of Beirut, Hezbollah's stronghold, since the ceasefire agreement was reached on April 16 of last year. The agreement has not succeeded in halting the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, where Israel claims it is working to dismantle Hezbollah's infrastructure along its borders.
