What Are the Main Goals of Israeli Strikes on Iran?

SadaNews - The Israeli website "Walla" revealed on Monday the objectives of the strikes carried out by the Israeli army on several areas in Iran.

The site clarified that the Israeli army targeted sites that include air defense systems, missile launch platforms, and drone factories.

It also cited informed sources stating that hospitals in Israel have switched to emergency operations.

For its part, Channel 12 reported that the Israeli army launched 15 airstrikes on Iran during an attack on Monday night.

Israeli media also reported that the Israeli navy participated in the attack on Iran.

Earlier, on Monday, the Mehr news agency reported from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard that Israel launched attacks on Iran using air-launched missiles.

The Revolutionary Guard explained that "Israel targeted sites in Iran using ballistic missiles launched from the air."

Iranian sources reported that the cities subjected to Israeli bombardment included Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Kermanshah, Karaj, and some other areas in western Iran.

Channel 12 also reported that the Israeli attack targeted Mehrabad Airport in the Iranian capital.

Earlier on Monday, Israel announced strikes against military targets in Iran, just hours after Tehran launched missiles towards Israeli territories.

The Israeli army stated that "the air force bombed military targets belonging to the Iranian regime in western and central Iran."

The army added: "The air force attacked military targets in Iran under the direction of the military intelligence agency."

For its part, Iranian television announced that explosions were heard in Tehran, Tabriz, and Isfahan.

The Mehr news agency reported hearing at least two loud explosions in Tehran.

Tasnim news agency also reported that explosions occurred in the vicinity of the Iranian city of Karaj.
