Liberman: The Battle Against Hezbollah Cannot Be Resolved Without Attacking the Southern Suburb

SadaNews - Former Minister of War and leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, Avigdor Liberman, stated that the new ceasefire in Lebanon resembles the old one.

Liberman added that the battle against Hezbollah cannot be resolved without attacking the southern suburb or Baalbek.

He said, "The October 7th Government" is tying the hands of the Israeli army, turning "our soldiers and the residents of the north into a punching bag for Hezbollah."

Military operations continue in southern Lebanon amid ongoing Israeli violations of the fragile ceasefire that has been in effect since April 17. On Sunday morning, there was mutual shelling and military operations between Hezbollah and the Israeli occupation army.

Hezbollah announced a series of attacks, including targeting a gathering of occupation vehicles and soldiers at the southeastern outskirts of Tallet Al-Shuqif with artillery.

The party also announced that it targeted a command center of the occupation army in the town of Naqoura using an "Ababil" drone, in addition to targeting a gathering of occupation soldiers at the southern outskirts of the town of Hadatha with two drones.
