Release of prisoner Ahmad Khadr from Qalandia camp after 25 years in occupation prisons

SadaNews - Israeli occupation authorities released prisoner Ahmad Khadr from Qalandia camp north of occupied Jerusalem today, Sunday, after he spent 25 years in occupation prisons.

Local sources reported that the released prisoner Khadr was arrested in 2001 and sentenced to 25 years in prison, and he was released after completing his sentence.

Khadr hails from Qalandia camp, and he belongs to a refugee family that was displaced from the village of Bir Ma'in, which was abandoned in 1948. He grew up in the camp and lived through the conditions of the Second Palestinian Intifada before his arrest.

He was welcomed by his family members and a crowd of Qalandia camp residents who celebrated his release after a quarter of a century of detention in occupation prisons.
