After the Occupation Closes Checkpoints: Two Women Forced to Give Birth Inside Two Vehicles in the Surroundings of Nablus

The organization stated that the restrictions imposed on the movement of Palestinians and the closure of roads and checkpoints caused delays in reaching necessary medical care, leading to two cases of birth under difficult conditions outside health facilities.

It warned of the serious humanitarian implications resulting from obstructing patients and pregnant women's access to medical services, emphasizing that freedom of movement and access to healthcare is a basic right that must be guaranteed.

It called for an end to the procedures that hinder Palestinians from reaching hospitals and health centers, holding the occupation authorities responsible for the risks faced by civilians due to the continued closure of checkpoints and restrictions on movement.
