After Significant Efforts.. The Water Department of Jerusalem Governorate Manages to Repair Damages and Resume Water Supply from Ein Samiya Wells

SadaNews - The Water Department of Jerusalem Governorate announced the resumption of water pumping from the Ein Samiya wells after significant efforts made by its technical teams, in coordination and cooperation with the colleagues in the Water Authority and Civil Coordination, to repair the damages caused by the recent attack by settlers on the wells.

This is the third attack on the Ein Samiya wells within a week, which led to the suspension of water pumping for more than 48 hours, amidst difficulties in accessing the technical teams to the site of the wells to conduct repair works.

The department reiterated its demand for protection for the Ein Samiya wells, as they are the only water source for about 19 population centers in the east and north of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, emphasizing that the continuation of attacks threatens the stability of water supply for thousands of citizens.

The department also called on citizens to rationalize water consumption and not to open water at private wells, ensuring that water reaches all subscribers after the resumption of pumping.
