Settlers Establish a New Settlement Outpost on the Lands of Deir Istiya North of Salfit

SadaNews - Today, Sunday, settlers established a new settlement outpost on the lands of the town of Deir Istiya, north of Salfit Governorate.

A local activist in the resistance against settlement, Nazmi Al-Salman, reported to the official agency that colonizers gathered in the area of "Al-Zuhur" located north of the town and began to raze the lands, in a step aimed at imposing a new colonial reality and expanding at the expense of citizens’ lands.

According to a report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the first half of 2026 witnessed an increase in settlers’ violations, which included the establishment of new colonial outposts, attacks on lands and properties, and targeting of trees, as part of a policy of imposing facts on the ground; settlers established 42 colonial outposts on citizens' lands, most of them pastoral outposts, including 4 outposts established in areas classified as (B).

These outposts were distributed in the governorates of Hebron with 13 outposts, Ramallah with 9 outposts, Nablus with 8 outposts, Bethlehem with 4 outposts, among others, continuing the policy of imposing facts on the ground pursued by settlers with the support of the occupying army.
