Two Killed in Shooting Incidents in Kafr Qara and Al-Mushayrifah

SadaNews - A young man named Ibrahim Hafiz Ashqar Ighbariah from the town of Umm al-Fahm was killed last night, Sunday, as a result of gunfire at a bakery he owns in the town of Kafr Qara. After midnight, another young man was killed in the village of Al-Mushayrifah in the Wadi Ara region. Local sources reported that the victim of the murder in Al-Mushayrifah is a young man named Muhammad Abdul Hadi from Umm al-Fahm.

The occupying police claimed that a large force arrived at the crime scene and began search and evidence collection operations, while they suggested at this stage that the motive may be criminal.

It is noted that the victim's brother was murdered in a similar crime two years ago.

Two Injured in a Shooting Incident in Kafr Qara Linked to Another Crime

Two young men were injured in the city of Kafr Qara after midnight on Sunday - Monday, suffering moderate injuries due to a shooting incident that occurred in the city, just hours after a young man was killed in the same manner. The two young men were shot in one of the city’s neighborhoods, where medical teams provided first aid to the injured before transferring them to "Hillel Yaffe" Hospital in Hadera.

Following the murders in Kafr Qara and Al-Mushayrifah, the number of murder victims in the Arab community since the beginning of this year rises to 121 dead. This comes amid a surge in violence and organized crime in Arab towns, coupled with the absence of serious government plans to confront the rampant violence in these communities, which contributes to the intensifying feeling of personal insecurity and the increasing number of victims year after year.

Data indicates that the majority of victims were killed by gunfire, amid ongoing criticisms of Israeli police policies and their failure to curb crime and pursue criminal organizations, as murder crimes continue to occur at an almost daily rate in the Arab community.
