Settlers Attack Employees of "Jerusalem Electricity" in Beitillu

SadaNews - The technical crews of the Jerusalem District Electricity Company were attacked by settlers while attempting to repair the outage and restore electricity in the area. Settlers physically assaulted the crew members with sticks and stones and sprayed pepper spray, resulting in injuries and bruises to several of them, before they managed to withdraw from the site for their safety. They are in stable condition. The company has made several attempts to reach the site for the necessary maintenance due to the damage caused by settlers to the electricity network components a few days ago. Consequently, the electricity supply has been cut off from the Ain al-Zurqa area until this moment due to circumstances beyond the company’s control and the impossibility of the crews reaching the outage site amidst these assaults.

 The company assures that it is working with all relevant parties to resume maintenance works and restore electricity as soon as it is safe for the crews to access the site, expressing regret to the subscribers in the area, and appreciating their understanding of these exceptional circumstances.
