38 killed since the beginning of the year: Man killed in shooting incident in Al-Fureidis
SadaNews - A man in his forties was killed in a shooting incident that took place in Al-Fureidis, located in the territory of 1948, on Wednesday evening, raising the death toll in the Arab community since the beginning of the year to 38.
A medical team that arrived at the crime scene reported that it "received a notification at 7:24 PM regarding an injured man in Al-Fureidis."
It was noted that the paramedics "provided medical treatment and performed CPR on a man approximately 40 years old," indicating that the crime victim had "sustained stab wounds" that penetrated his body.
However, the victim's death was confirmed shortly after, following unsuccessful attempts to save his life.
38 Arab fatalities since the beginning of the year
Since the start of this year, 38 Arab citizens have been killed, including 12 since the beginning of the current month, and 26 fatalities that occurred in January.
This comes at a time when the Arab community is witnessing daily protests against the escalation of crime and denouncing the complicity of the Israeli authorities and police. Protests began in Sakhnin with a strike followed by other Arab towns, and two national demonstrations have been organized in the city and Tel Aviv, as well as a convoy of cars that started from Arab towns heading to Jerusalem, in addition to protests and demonstrations in various towns and intersections.
The year 2025 recorded an unprecedented toll in murder cases, claiming the lives of 252 Arabs, amidst accusations of negligence by the Israeli police and its complicity with organized crime, and its failure to provide security and safety for Arab citizens.
