Trump: An Agreement with Iran May Be Reached by the End of the Weekend
SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that negotiations with Iran "are going very well," expressing his belief that an agreement could be reached over the weekend, despite recent tensions related to the attack on Kuwait that resulted in one death and several injuries.
In response to a question about whether the ceasefire with Iran is still in effect after the recent attack on Kuwait, Trump told reporters at the White House: "There is a reason for everything. We hit them very hard last night."
He added, "Some may say they were provoked slightly because we took strong action for a different reason, and so they were responding in kind."
Regarding the negotiations, Trump said: "I've heard that the negotiations themselves are going very well, in fact, very well." He added: "It may happen, it may not happen, but if it does, it could be over the weekend."
