Ben Gvir: Ceasefire with Lebanon is a Grave Mistake
SadaNews - Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stated that the decision to ceasefire with Lebanon represents a "grave mistake," asserting that Hezbollah has not withdrawn from the area south of the Litani River, and that the Lebanese army lacks the means to force it to evacuate.
He added that the continued presence of Hezbollah on the border will lead to an increase in its power, considering that instead of "crushing" it, Israel is accepting its existence.
Ben Gvir criticized the stance of the Israeli Prime Minister, indicating that he should have made it clear to U.S. President Donald Trump that Israel is a sovereign state that cannot accept the strengthening of an organization he referred to as "terrorist."
He confirmed that there are moments when Israel must say "no" even to its American ally, warning that any leniency will make the next confrontation with Hezbollah more dangerous.
