Occupation Forces Demolish Homes in Kabul Under the Pretext of Unauthorized Construction
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces demolished three homes in the village of Kabul in the Galilee area early this Tuesday, under the pretext of unauthorized construction, amidst a heavy presence of police and border guard forces accompanying the bulldozers and engineering vehicles during the operation.
According to circulating information, the bulldozers carried out the demolition operation in the early hours, targeting three homes in the village, while security forces imposed strict measures around the area to secure the demolition process and prevent any protests, as the site was surrounded and residents were prohibited from approaching the demolition area.
This demolition comes just a few months after a store in Kabul was demolished last February, under the pretext of unauthorized construction, as part of a policy that is repeated in several Arab towns within the country.
The issue of home demolitions is one of the most prominent challenges facing the Arab community, amidst what residents and local authorities describe as a chronic planning and construction crisis.
Many Arab towns suffer from limited construction areas and delays in approving structural maps, which restricts urban expansion and makes obtaining building permits a complex and difficult process.
Under these circumstances, many citizens are forced to build to meet their housing needs, which later exposes them to legal actions and demolition orders that are repeated in several Arab villages and cities.
