Man Killed in Vehicle Explosion on Ayalon Street Near Holon
SadaNews - A man was killed this morning, Thursday, as a result of a vehicle explosion on Highway 20 (Ayalon) near the Holon intersection, south of Tel Aviv. The Israeli occupation police have opened an investigation into the incident and stated that its background appears to be criminal.
The Israeli police reported that their forces and explosives experts began investigating the circumstances of the vehicle explosion on Highway 20 near the Holon intersection after receiving reports of a person sustaining critical injuries at the scene.
According to initial data, the explosion occurred inside the vehicle while it was on the road, causing it to catch fire and resulting in serious injuries to the person inside.
Medical teams from Magen David Adom later announced the death of the injured individual due to his injuries, after he was found beside the vehicle without a pulse or breath, having sustained burns over his body.
One of the paramedics stated, "We saw the vehicle engulfed in flames, and next to it was a person lying on the ground without a pulse or breath, suffering from burns on his body."
He added, "We conducted the necessary medical checks, but his injuries were extremely severe, and we had to declare his death at the scene."
The police mentioned that preliminary investigations indicate that the background of the incident is criminal, while their forces and explosives experts continue to examine and gather evidence from the explosion site.
