Houthi Movement Announces Ban on Maritime Navigation Against Saudi Arabia

SadaNews - The Houthis announced today, Monday, a ban on maritime navigation against Saudi Arabia, stating that this is in "response to the siege with a siege and comprehensive escalation with comprehensive escalation, cementing this equation".

The military spokesman for the Houthi forces, Yahya Saree, stated that Saudi Arabia continues its "oppressive and brutal siege" for nearly 12 years of "plundering of resources and a complete siege on ports and airports by land, sea, and air, exacerbating the suffering of our people to an unbearable level without any right or justification for this".

He added, "This is something that cannot be accepted or ignored as it is not based on any legal, humanitarian right, or justification and has no legitimacy; it is an invalid and aggressive siege, and its consequences are catastrophic for our Yemeni people's suffering, beginning with the aggression against our country, targeting Sanaa International Airport in a cruel and treacherous assault. Our people cannot suffer from this oppressive siege and be attacked without having a stance. Our people have the full right to confront this siege and the unjust aggression by all available means".

Saree continued, "Therefore, in response to the calls of our people in the great mass mobilization during the Alert and Alarm Friday and the large gatherings and tribal stand-ins that preceded it, the Yemeni armed forces announce a ban on maritime navigation against the Saudi enemy under the equation of 'siege by siege' which will come into effect from the moment this statement is announced".

He indicated that "we affirm the right of our people to face the siege with a siege and comprehensive escalation with comprehensive escalation, and to solidify this equation", and announced the "full readiness of the armed forces for all options, and that any folly the Saudi enemy commits through comprehensive escalation will face a comprehensive and severe escalation on our part".

Saree called in his statement for the continued public mobilization, general alertness, and full preparedness for all scenarios and developments, and support for the fronts with fighters", concluding by saying, "We will spare no effort in restoring the plundered rights and ending the oppressive siege, whatever the consequences and repercussions may be".
