Washington Ends Ninth Night of Escalation with Tehran and Strikes New Sites

SadaNews - The U.S. Central Command "CENTCOM" announced that the U.S. military has completed its ninth consecutive round of strikes against Iran.

"CENTCOM" stated in a press release that the U.S. military targeted Iranian coastal surveillance and military air defense facilities.

The statement added that the strikes targeted Iranian military command centers, air defense sites, coastal surveillance, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and communications networks.

U.S. President Donald Trump considered that the latest military strikes directed at Iran were carried out in honor of the American soldiers who were killed in recent days.

Trump told reporters upon his return to Washington after attending the World Cup final in football, "We hit them very hard again tonight, and we did it in honor of the great patriots, three probably, they are probably three," referring to the soldiers killed so that "Iran cannot acquire a nuclear weapon."

The "Washington Post" quoted an American official stating that the United States is planning a wider war against Iran.

The newspaper reported, citing the official, that the United States is on the verge of returning to full-scale war with Iran following the deaths of several of its soldiers.

According to the official, described by the "Washington Post" as knowledgeable about internal discussions within the U.S. administration, the Pentagon is increasing the number of military aircraft in the Middle East.

It is worth noting that the U.S. military announced on Monday that it executed strikes against targets in Iran for the ninth consecutive night.
