Simultaneous Escalation of Settler Attacks in the West Bank

SadaNews: The systematic attacks by settlers continue in various governorates of the West Bank, clearly coordinated and heavily protected by Israeli occupation forces, aiming to pressure Palestinian citizens and destroy their properties and sources of livelihood, in addition to their ongoing attempts to assert control over historical and archaeological sites to erase Palestinian identity. These escalating violations reflect a policy of displacement that serves settlement plans aimed at fragmenting towns and villages.

In the context of these continuous attacks, settlers today, Monday, destroyed the drinking water network in the village of Al-Muniya, southeast of Bethlehem, for the fifth time in recent days, as reported by the head of the Al-Muniya village council, Ahmad Kawazbeh, who stated that a group of settlers stormed the "Qarn" area west of the village and destroyed the water network, and also attacked the home of citizen Ismail Jabarin and his sons, before the occupation forces later stormed Jabarin's home and subjected all its residents to harsh interrogation, without any arrests being reported.

In Jenin governorate, settlers stole a kiosk selling beverages last night near the village of Anza, south of the governorate. Citizen Awad Maher Obeid informed the official agency that about five settlers had stolen his kiosk located near the village entrance and seized its contents, including a refrigerator, beverage preparation machines, and food supplies, worth approximately 15,000 shekels.

He explained that the kiosk is a source of income for his family, which consists of four children, and he relies on it following the war on the Gaza Strip and the interruption of his work inside. He pointed out that two settlers had come about a week ago demanding he remove it, before a group of them stole it last night, as documented by security camera footage and eyewitness testimonies.

In Nablus governorate, settlers stormed the archaeological site in the town of Sebastia, northwest of the city, today, Monday, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces. Local sources reported that a number of settlers' vehicles stormed the archaeological site in the town, coinciding with a demonstration organized by Muslim, Christian, and Samaritan religious leaders in support of the urgent request made by the State of Palestine to list the Sebastia site on the World Heritage List in the UNESCO, during its 48th session currently held in Busan, South Korea, which continues until July 29. The committee is set to consider four draft resolutions related to Palestinian sites listed on the World Heritage List, namely the Old City of Jerusalem, the Old Town of Hebron, Battir, and the Saint Hilarion Monastery in Gaza. It is worth noting that Sebastia is subjected to repeated incursions by settlers and occupation forces to impose control over it.
