Temporary halt of water pumping from Ain Samiya wells after new settler attack

SadaNews - Today, settlers carried out a new attack on the Ain Samiya wells, which consisted of assaulting and damaging the water lines, leading to a temporary halt in water pumping.

The Jerusalem District Water Authority confirmed that its teams are monitoring the situation and working to restore the well operation as soon as possible, noting that targeting water infrastructure constitutes a direct assault on essential services and the citizens' right to access water.

The authority added that the Ain Samiya wells represent the main source of water supply for 19 Palestinian communities, reaffirming its commitment to coordinating with the brothers in the Water Authority and the civil liaison to pressure for an end to these attacks and allow its technical teams to access the site and repair the damages as quickly as possible, reiterating its demand for the necessary protection of water facilities and vital infrastructure.
