Civil Defense Calls on Citizens to Adhere to Safety Guidelines Amid Ongoing Heat Wave

SadaNews - The Civil Defense has urged citizens to adhere to general safety guidelines and instructions in light of the significant rise in temperatures, warning of an increased risk of fires and incidents due to negligence.

It emphasized the necessity of not leaving children inside closed vehicles under any circumstances, even for a short period, due to the rapid rise in temperatures inside them, posing a real and immediate danger to their lives.

It also stressed the importance of removing pressurized containers, such as lighters and deodorant cans, from inside vehicles to avoid explosions caused by high temperatures.

Citizens were encouraged to refrain from lighting fires in dry grass or forested areas and not to dispose of waste by burning, as this could lead to fires that are difficult to control under the prevailing weather conditions.

Additionally, it highlighted the importance of safe electrical energy usage by avoiding excessive loads on the electrical network and not running devices and air conditioners intensively for long periods to reduce the risk of electrical shocks.

The Civil Defense confirmed the necessity of immediate contact with emergency number (102) in the event of any incident or emergency, reiterating its call for citizens to adhere to safety guidelines amid the ongoing heat wave.
