Ministry of Economy Announces the Opening of Import Application Submissions for Commodity Lists A1 and A2
SadaNews Economy - The Ministry of National Economy announced the opening of import application submissions for goods included in commodity lists A1 and A2, as well as goods covered by the quota system for the year 2026, which includes: frozen veal, washing machines, refrigerators, televisions, gas ovens, air conditioners, heaters, carpets, jameed, and cement.
The ministry called on those wishing to obtain import licenses to refer to the General Directorate of Trade at the headquarters in the governmental complex – Ramallah, to fill out the necessary applications and submit the required documents according to the approved procedures.
The ministry clarified that the required documents include:
A valid factory license for factories
Factories: An auditor's letter and a technical report from the Ministry of Industry regarding the quantities needed as production inputs
A clearance certificate from value-added tax, income tax, and customs that is currently valid
A foreign trade deal card
A license certificate from the Ministry of Finance that has been registered for at least one full year
Company registration certificate or commercial registry
A bank transfer statement (SWIFT) stamped by the bank in the name of the importer for the previous quota (for applicants seeking a share of the frozen veal quota)
A marketing authorization from the Ministry of Health for the previous quota (for applicants seeking a share of the frozen veal quota)
A trades and industries license (according to the Ministry of Health's classification for frozen meats)
A bank check for 35,000 Jordanian Dinars as a guarantee of compliance and commitment for applicants seeking a share of the frozen veal quota
A professional license from the property tax department
Signature on the disclosure form (for applicants seeking a share of the frozen veal quota)
A certified annual lease agreement for the refrigerators from the property tax (for the tenant) for applicants seeking a share of the frozen veal quota
The ministry confirmed that the deadline for submitting applications is Thursday, July 30, 2026, and the committee will not consider any applications submitted after this date.
