8 Martyrs and 20 Injured in a Series of Airstrikes on Gaza

SadaNews - Eight Palestinians have been martyred and more than 20 others injured by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip since early Monday morning, according to medical sources, as the attacks spanned from the north to the south of the territory. A source at Al-Shifa Hospital reported the martyrdom of 3 citizens, including two women, and injuries to others in an Israeli airstrike on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Earlier, local sources stated that an Israeli bombardment targeted a vehicle in the Muwasi area of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip, leading to at least 4 deaths and injuries that were first transferred to the British field hospital before some cases were referred to other hospitals due to the overwhelming number of injured. They added that the targeting of Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City resulted in further injuries, noting that children and women were the most affected by the attack, according to the medical teams at the Al-Saraya Hospital affiliated with the Palestinian Red Crescent and the Al-Shifa Medical Complex. Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported the martyrdom of a Palestinian in an attack by an Israeli drone on a bicycle on Salah al-Din Street in central Gaza. One eyewitness reported a loud explosion at one of the intersections of Al-Jalaa Street, causing panic among civilians. He added that he returned to the site moments later to find the injured scattered around the vehicle, while it was impossible to approach due to intense fire. He noted that the area hosts a large number of displaced people, in addition to a warehouse distributing aid affiliated with the World Food Program, and witnesses heavy vehicular traffic and citizen activity. Local sources confirmed that this bombardment adds to a series of violations occurring in Gaza after the declaration of a ceasefire, which has resulted in an increasing number of casualties across the territory. Al-Jalaa Street is considered the main artery connecting downtown Gaza with the northern areas, experiencing heavy vehicular and commercial traffic around the clock, with tents housing displaced people, shops, and stands lining its sides, which explains the rise in injury numbers each time the area is bombed. Medical teams continue to treat several injured individuals, some of whose conditions are described as serious, despite the acute shortage of medical resources that hospitals in the Strip are suffering from.
