Arab Parties Enter the Week of Decision for Forming the Joint List
SadaNews - The Arab parties will resume their separate meetings with the Conciliation Committee today, Monday, as part of ongoing efforts to complete consultations and advance the process of reconstituting the Joint List ahead of the upcoming elections.
Last week, the Conciliation Committee held a series of meetings with the Arab parties.
A joint statement was issued by the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality, the National Democratic Assembly, and the Arab Movement for Change, in which they confirmed their readiness to participate in the elections under a shared, technical, and pluralistic list. The United Arab List endorsed this approach and expressed its support for the efforts aimed at restructuring the Joint List, confirming its readiness to join.
In the context of ongoing communications, a quadripartite meeting involving the Arab parties is expected to be held next Thursday in Nazareth to discuss pending issues and finalize agreements. Additionally, an extra meeting between the parties and the seven-member committee derived from the national committee of Arab local authority heads is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, in a move aimed at broadening the consensus and enhancing the chances of reaching a final formula for the Joint List.
