The Ministry of Education Holds an Educational Conference on the Educational, Psychological, and Social Impacts of Part-Time Attendance

SadaNews - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, through the Qabatiya Education Directorate, held an educational guidance conference titled "The Educational, Psychological, and Social Impacts of Part-Time Attendance on Students in Palestinian Government Schools: Reality of Challenges and Prospects for Intervention", under the patronage and participation of Minister Amjad Barham, Jenin Governor Kamal Abu Rubb, in partnership with Ajja Municipality, with the presence of the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Palestine Mohammad Farouk, and a wide official, educational, and academic audience.

Barham emphasized in his speech that the conference is held in light of the exceptional circumstances facing the Palestinian educational system due to the occupation's targeting of Palestinian education, along with incursions, checkpoints, and assaults that have directly affected the continuity of the educational process. He pointed out that the piracy of Palestinian people's funds has negatively affected teachers' salaries.

He stressed that education will remain a national and strategic option, asserting that "education is life, and life is in education", praising the resilience of the Palestinian teacher and their national and educational efforts in building the Palestinian individual and enhancing their awareness and steadfastness.

He also called for developing practical mechanisms to mitigate the effects of educational loss and to produce qualitative recommendations that contribute to supporting the educational process within the "Education for Development" plan.

For his part, Abu Rubb affirmed the importance of integrating official and community efforts to support the educational sector and enhance students' psychological and social resilience, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Education and its staff, and the pioneering role played by the Qabatiya Education Directorate in continuing its educational message despite the challenges.

In turn, the Director General of Qabatiya Education, Ahmad Jarrarah, clarified that the conference represents a scientific and national platform to discuss the educational, psychological, and social implications of part-time attendance, and to build effective intervention visions based on partnership between the school, family, and community institutions that contribute to protecting students and enhancing their psychological, educational, and academic stability.

Moreover, the Head of Ajja Municipality, Ahmad Shahada, confirmed the importance of educational guidance in shaping students' personalities and enhancing their psychological and educational stability, pointing to the continued partnership with the Education Directorate in supporting educational and scientific initiatives.

The conference addressed, through its specialized scientific sessions, a set of studies and research papers related to educational loss, mental health, social adaptation, and motivation towards learning, in addition to showcasing quality educational initiatives and experiences in utilizing technology and artificial intelligence to serve the educational and guidance process.

The attendees expressed their appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Qabatiya Education Directorate and the partner and supportive entities to ensure the success of the conference, affirming the importance of continuing scientific and educational initiatives that reinforce the resilience of Palestinian education and cement its national and humanitarian message.

In a related context, Minister Barham and the accompanying delegation visited Ajja Municipality where they discussed cooperation mechanisms and strengthening the partnership to serve education in the town, and the importance of benefiting from the outcomes of the conference, which represents a cornerstone for addressing educational loss and its effects.
