Ramallah and Al-Bireh Forces Mourn Al-Mughayer Martyr and Emphasize Popular Solidarity to Confront Occupation and Settlers

SadaNews - The national and Islamic forces in Ramallah and Al-Bireh affirmed the importance of popular solidarity and cooperation among all components, bodies, and institutions to confront what the occupation is attempting to impose through escalating waves of settlement terrorism in the occupied Palestinian territories, while providing settlers with all financial, military resources, and direct protection from the occupation's army. The forces warned in a statement that the widespread attacks taking place in the eastern villages of Ramallah and across the governorate, coinciding with election campaigns for the occupation's Knesset, clearly indicate what the upcoming phase may witness in terms of racial rampancy against villages, towns, agriculture, and the closure of roads and military checkpoints within a policy aimed at tightening the occupation's control and annexation over all aspects of life, and that they fall within the framework of economic warfare and collective punishment. The forces mourned the martyr child Fadi Al-Nisaan, 16 years old, who was killed by settler gunfire in the town of Al-Mughayer, noting that this is yet another evidence of the organized state terrorism faced by the Palestinian people from the occupation forces and the lawlessness of settlers, which necessitates mobilizing efforts and rising to the level of the spilled blood, unifying available energies and capacities to confront the danger of liquidating the national cause, and resisting the suspicious projects led by the United States to sponsor and provide a haven for the crimes of occupation and undermine its geographical and political unity. The forces called on all institutions to exert greater effort in providing daily needs and empowering the most targeted villages and towns to exist and endure against the policies of displacement and expulsion. They called for a unified coordination framework that includes the public sector, civil society, private sector, and all components and unions in cooperation with local and village councils to protect these communities and towns, provide everything necessary for their existence and steadfastness, and develop a rescue plan for these villages and towns, ensuring they are not left prey to ongoing assaults. The forces also reiterated the importance of the broad engagement of all unions, syndicates, institutions, and activities within the international campaign to combat sexual violence against female prisoners and prisoners, which was launched last Tuesday during the expanded meeting at Al-Bireh Municipality. They highlighted the need for more attention to tangible steps regarding the file of prisoners in the occupation's jails and continued support campaigns and popular vigils. They consider the gunfire on prisoner leader Marwan Barghouti as part of the ongoing assaults he has faced during the past period and an attempt to eliminate him, which requires working to expand international campaigns demanding his release as a symbol of freedom. The forces emphasized the importance of rallying ranks and unity, directing energies to confront the occupation and its settlers, and avoiding what is planned in terms of chaos and lawlessness by igniting conflicts and internal issues under the burden of unprecedented difficult economic conditions due to the continued theft of "clearance" funds, and the resulting complex social conditions. They called for the protection of civil peace, the formation of neighborhood committees, and the promotion of models of internal reconciliation and tolerance as an alternative to violence, fostering dialogue instead of conflict, and working to counter sedition, emphasizing commonalities and protecting the societal fabric at a time that is the most dangerous and complex in our contemporary history.
