The Occupation Public Prosecution Accuses a Young Man from the Village of Majd al-Krum of Committing a Shooting Incident

SadaNews - Today, Tuesday, the Public Prosecution presented an indictment to the Central Court in Haifa against the young man Muhammad Nasrawi (24 years old) from the village of Majd al-Krum, accused of committing a serious shooting incident along with another person, targeting vehicles and police officers in the village.

According to the indictment submitted by attorney Michal Applebaum from the Haifa District Prosecution - Criminal, "there was a dispute between the accused and Muhammad Khalaila on one side, and the complainant and his family members on the other side, which was resolved by a reconciliation agreement. Nevertheless, the accused and Khalaila decided to shoot at the complainant's vehicles and threw a grenade towards them. Both were equipped with a pistol, a rifle, and a stun grenade".

It is indicated in the indictment that "on November 10, 2025, the accused and Khalaila arrived at the complainant's house on a motorcycle, wearing black clothing and helmets. The accused fired first at the family’s vehicles, and then Khalaila joined him, firing from a pistol indiscriminately, and threw a stun grenade that exploded near one of the vehicles. The two continued firing even after they exchanged weapons with each other, causing panic among the residents of the house and the neighbors".

The indictment also mentioned that "a few minutes after the incident, they fled the scene, but police officers spotted them shortly after. The accused and Khalaila tried to escape and crashed into a parking gate, falling to the ground. Khalaila pointed the rifle at the police officers, who opened fire on them, resulting in Khalaila's death and the accused being injured. Despite his injury, the accused fled the scene carrying the weapons, then disposed of the pistol, mask, and helmet he was wearing, and attempted to hide, as he concealed the rifle. The shooting caused damage to several vehicles near the complainant's house".

The prosecution attributed to the accused "committing firearm-related crimes, firing a firearm in a residential area, intentionally damaging property, obstructing judicial procedures, and interfering with a police officer while performing his duties".

The public prosecution requested to detain the accused until the judicial procedures against him are completed, stating in its request: "The accused and Khalaila carried out a random and dangerous shooting operation in the evening hours inside a residential neighborhood, which lasted about three minutes without any deterrent, and but for luck, human injuries would have occurred. The danger posed by the accused did not stop there; despite being injured by police gunfire, he did not hesitate to seize the rifle from Khalaila, who was injured, and to continue fleeing from police officers while attempting to conceal evidence of his involvement. These behaviors indicate the severe danger the accused poses to the public as a whole, and the complete lack of fear from law enforcement bodies."
