The Monetary Authority Launches Manual Registration Service in the iDplus Digital Identity System for Citizens of Gaza Strip

SadaNews - The Palestinian Monetary Authority announced the launch of manual registration service in the iDplus digital identity system for citizens of the Gaza Strip, starting Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

The Monetary Authority confirmed that the provision of the manual registration service comes in response to the current circumstances in the Gaza Strip, and in a bid to facilitate the procedures for creating digital identities for citizens, ensuring access to the service for various segments of society, which enhances digital inclusion and enables all citizens to benefit from electronic services with the highest levels of security and reliability.

It explained that the registration procedures will be carried out by its employees present at the branches of the Palestine Bank in the areas of Deir al-Balah, Al-Nuseirat, Al-Nasr, and Al-Saraya, where they will provide assistance and guidance to citizens to complete the requirements for creating a digital identity according to the approved procedures.

This comes in addition to the service currently available to citizens in the West Bank, which allows them to create a digital identity electronically through the iDplus application, and benefit from the digital services associated with the system.

The Monetary Authority urged citizens to follow the official pages of the iDplus system on social media platforms to learn about the registration mechanism and required documents, in addition to keeping up with any updates.

The iDplus digital identity enables users to verify and prove their identity electronically according to high standards of security and reliability, as well as manage approvals for digital transactions, which enhances levels of digital security and contributes to facilitating access to various electronic services.
