Palestine Bank and Palestine Giving Association Distribute Iftar Meals to Affected Families in Gaza as Part of the 'Ramadan Brings Us Together with Love and Giving' Campaign
SadaNews - In a scene that reflects the spirit of humanitarian solidarity that flourishes during the holy month of Ramadan, Palestine Bank has supported a humanitarian initiative implemented by the Palestine Giving Association to distribute hot Iftar meals to displaced and affected families in the Gaza Strip, as part of the "Ramadan Brings Us Together with Love and Giving" campaign. This effort aims to alleviate the harsh living conditions faced by families in the region.
The initiative was carried out during the second week of the holy month, with meals reaching families in several areas that include gatherings of displaced persons and the most needy families, including areas in the west and center of Gaza City, in addition to the displacement camps in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, and the Orphanage Camp in the central region. Field teams were keen to deliver the meals to families struggling to secure their daily food needs amid escalating humanitarian challenges.
This initiative not only provided ready-made Iftar meals but also represented a message of humanitarian solidarity with many families living in exceptional conditions. It contributed to bringing an atmosphere of reassurance and joy into the homes of the affected families amid a difficult reality that imposes daily challenges on them. Furthermore, this initiative reflected the deep meanings of Ramadan as a season of compassion and social solidarity and an opportunity to strengthen the values of giving and responsibility towards the most vulnerable groups in society.
This initiative follows a series of humanitarian interventions undertaken by Palestine Bank during Ramadan in various areas of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which stemmed from the bank's continuous commitment to its developmental and humanitarian role, and its keenness to expand its community interventions in partnership with civil society organizations, contributing to enhancing the resilience of Palestinian families and supporting their ability to face challenges, especially in areas suffering from complex humanitarian conditions like Gaza.
For its part, the Palestine Giving Association expressed its immense appreciation for the support provided by Palestine Bank to make this initiative successful, affirming that this contribution has had a tangible impact in supporting affected families and alleviating their suffering during the holy month, as well as enhancing the spirit of communal solidarity and revitalizing the values of participation and giving that characterize Palestinian society.
