Occupation hands over the body of the martyr Sufyan Abu Leil after holding it for 4 months
SadaNews - Israeli occupation authorities handed over the body of the martyr Sufyan Ahmed Saleh Abu Leil (46 years old) to his family today, Sunday, after keeping it since his martyrdom on March 27, 2026, affected by his injury from the occupation forces' bullets during their incursion into the Qalandiya camp north of occupied Jerusalem.
The body of martyr Abu Leil was buried in occupied Jerusalem before being laid to rest in the Bab al-Sahira cemetery, in the presence of his family and mourners from our people, while the occupation authorities imposed measures and restrictions on the funeral rites.
Martyr Abu Leil succumbed to his injuries sustained during the incursion of the occupation forces into the Qalandiya camp, as part of their continuous military operations in various areas of the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, where the occupation authorities continue to hold the bodies of several martyrs in line with their collective punishment policy against their families.
