Ma'ariv Reveals Document Sent by Hamas Leaders to Nasrallah on the Morning of the October 7 Attack

Translation by SadaNews - The Hebrew newspaper Ma'ariv revealed on Friday a message sent by Hamas leaders on the morning of the October 7, 2023 attack to the former Secretary General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah.

According to the newspaper, as translated by SadaNews, the message was sent by Mohammed Deif, Yahya Sinwar, and Marwan Issa to Nasrallah at 6:30 AM, coinciding with the start of the attack on the Gaza borders.

According to the newspaper, this message was found inside one of the main tunnels of Hamas used by the movement's leadership, just months ago.

The lengthy message shows that Hamas leaders requested Nasrallah's support for the attack that had begun, justifying that they did not inform him beforehand for security reasons and that this was concealed from all movement leaders outside the sector and the vast majority inside the sector due to Israeli intelligence.

In their message, Hamas leaders demanded active participation from all parties in the resistance axis, whether through direct participation or cooperation that would allow for the utilization of maximum possible capabilities.

Hamas leaders pointed out in their message that the attack comes in response to the serious violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, the city of Jerusalem, and Palestinians in the West Bank and inside Israel, noting that Israel would initiate an attack against Hezbollah and would continue its strikes in Syria, Yemen, and other areas.

Hamas leaders warned against retreating in the face of this attack, as the cost would be significant without the participation of all parties in the resistance axis.

The text of the message addressed to Nasrallah stated: "Our beloved brother, the cost of any hesitation will be high and unbearable, both in terms of our plan and concerning you and the Islamic Republic, due to enemy strikes and its attempts to achieve a picture of victory and restore deterrence against Iran and Syria in its usual manner, but with greater focus and intensity, and because these two countries are subject to operational rules different from those governing our organizations, the consequences of hesitation will be severe and intolerable, exceeding any imagination."

According to Ma'ariv, the three Hamas leaders wanted to ignite a fire belt around Israel, starting from Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, and possibly Jordan and any available place.

It noted that the message also aimed to motivate Iran by referencing the assassinations carried out against its nuclear file scientists.

The message alludes to an Israeli plan aimed at executing new assassination operations in Gaza and attempts to separate fronts, which Hamas sought to maintain.

The Hebrew newspaper viewed, as translated by SadaNews, that Benjamin Netanyahu's policies since 2009 in Gaza and other fronts are what granted Hamas the strength for such an attack.

The newspaper stated that most of the prophecies mentioned in the message regarding Israeli attacks have already come true; Israel has fought Iran, Hezbollah, and Gaza, and may engage in other wars, contributing to the overthrow of the Syrian regime and attacking Syria. However, what has not occurred is that "Arab Israelis" did not get dragged into the upheaval, nor did the West Bank ignite, thus dispelling the hopes of Deif and Sinwar to ignite a civil war within Israel between Arabs and Jews, as it stated.

The newspaper commented on the message saying: "We have been punished for our arrogance, our vanity, and our addiction to easy cyber information at the expense of human intelligence gathered with great difficulty, and for the criminal policy of containment that lasted two decades, which allowed Hezbollah and Hamas to build extremist terrorist entities on our borders... We have dealt these savages harsh blows, but we have not defeated them... Netanyahu does not know how to end wars, perhaps simply because he does not want to end them." As it expressed.
