Council for Peace: There is No Place for UNRWA in the 'New Gaza'

SadaNews - The Council for Peace stated in a tweet via the X platform: "There is no place for UNRWA in the new Gaza, we are closing the chapter on permanent reliance on aid and conflict; the people of Gaza deserve better than that," according to SadaNews translation.

Israeli media have reported that the "Council for Peace" will begin a pilot project within a few weeks to manage humanitarian shelters in areas of the Gaza Strip, while the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) expressed hope that the arrival of international forces to the region would help stop Israeli violations.

The newspaper "Israel Hayom" - in a report on Tuesday evening citing unnamed sources - stated that multinational forces, as part of the international stability force under the Council for Peace, would arrive in Israel within weeks in preparation for their deployment in the Gaza Strip.

According to the newspaper, these forces will be stationed at a base specifically prepared for them at the "Amity" Israeli camp near the strip.

The Israeli newspaper clarified that the Council for Peace will begin within a few weeks a pilot project to manage humanitarian shelters "in areas not under the control of Hamas in the Gaza Strip," as it put it.

"Israel Hayom" indicated that the Tal Sultan area, located near Rafah, is the first destination to which civilians will be directed, noting that this is limited to Gaza residents "who do not carry arms and have no ties to Hamas."
