Jerusalem Governorate Water Utility Strengthens Partnership with Local Authorities to Mitigate Summer Crisis and Affirms: Joint Work is the Foundation for Ensuring Water Service Sustainability

SadaNews - As part of its strategy to address the challenges of the summer season, the Jerusalem Governorate Water Utility continues to hold a series of meetings with municipalities and village councils in the areas of its concession, aiming to enhance cooperation and joint coordination, and to discuss the reality of water services and ways to develop them, ensuring the sustainability of the service and improving its quality for citizens.

The General Director of the utility, Engineer Thaer Jlood, accompanied by several department directors, held a meeting with the Mayor of Beitunia, Rubhi Doulat, during which a number of issues related to the water sector in the city were discussed, along with mechanisms to address them, contributing to enhancing service efficiency and guaranteeing continuity of supply to subscribers.

The utility's administration also held a meeting with the Mayor of Deir Debwan, Dr. Mansour Mansour, attended by council member and Deputy Chairman of the Utility Board, Mohammed Hani. The two sides discussed the most significant challenges facing water services and agreed to enhance cooperation and joint coordination to serve citizens and elevate service standards.

In this context, the utility conducted two separate meetings with the head of the Kafr Ni'ma village council, Ra'fat Khalifah, and the head of the Ain Qinya village council, Thaer Ma'rouf. During these meetings, several files related to the development of water services were discussed, primarily facilitating procedures for citizens to request additional meters and discussing expansion plans and the rehabilitation of water networks to keep pace with urban growth and the increasing needs of the population.

These meetings come as a continuation of previous meetings held by the utility's general director with several leaders of local authorities, where he met with the Mayor of Qabatiya, Munir Budwan, and also held another meeting with the Mayor of the Western Masra'a, Bassam Al-Khatib. During both meetings, the reality of water services in the two towns and the challenges facing the water sector were discussed, as well as ways to strengthen joint cooperation in preparation for the summer season.

The Jerusalem Governorate Water Utility affirmed that these meetings fall within its approach based on partnership with local authorities, considering them a key partner in managing the water sector and addressing the challenges posed by the rising demand for water during the summer season, by coordinating and unifying efforts to achieve the best possible service for citizens.
