Gaza Management Committee Holds Series of "Constructive" Meetings in Cyprus Regarding the Future of the Sector
SadaNews - The National Committee for Gaza Management (NCAG) held a series of working meetings over the past two days in Cyprus with teams and experts from the Peace Council, the Office of the High Representative for Gaza, and the Tony Blair Foundation.
These constructive meetings focused on the immediate and upcoming phases of efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
Attention was given to interventions that can be implemented immediately, including initiatives and programs aimed at improving conditions on the ground across the sector. Participants also reviewed reconstruction plans, security, governance, and the institutional arrangements necessary to ensure transparency and accountability to meet donor requirements.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to the comprehensive plan and immediate readiness to take all necessary steps for its implementation, through the Peace Council and the Office of the High Representative, so that the National Committee for Gaza Management can assume its responsibilities and operational role once the conditions for implementation in the sector are suitable.
These meetings follow the workshop held in Cairo on June 23 and 24, 2026, and together they form part of a broader pathway aimed at ensuring we have all the necessary tools to serve the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
Next steps will be announced in due course.
