Arrest of 38 Suspects in "Arms and Drug Trafficking" in a Covert Operation in the Occupied Territories
SadaNews - On Tuesday morning, the Israeli occupation police revealed a wide-ranging covert operation that lasted over a year, culminating in the arrest of 38 suspects accused of illegal arms and serious drug trafficking during raids conducted in several Arab towns.
The police claimed in a statement that the operation was led by the central unit in the northern district and relied on the deployment of a covert agent from within the criminal world, codenamed "The Feather," who operated to infiltrate arms trafficking networks in various areas, including Nazareth, Shfar'am, Kafr Kanna, Zarzir, Rina, Deir Hanna, Tel Sheva, and Jaljulia.
In the early hours of dawn, simultaneous raids were executed on the homes of the suspects, with the participation of special police units and border guards, resulting in the arrest of dozens and the collection of evidence linking them to the alleged offenses. They are to be presented later to the Magistrate's Court in Nazareth to consider a request for the extension of their detention.
