Jordanian King Issues Order to Transfer Kingdom's Ambassador to Israel to Amman
SadaNews - Jordanian King Abdullah II has decided to transfer the Kingdom's ambassador to Israel, Ghassan Al-Majali, from the embassy in Tel Aviv to the center.
The decision was published in the Jordanian official gazette today, Thursday, under the royal decree giving approval to the Cabinet's decision to transfer the ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Israel, Ghassan Abdul Rahim Awda Al-Majali, from the Jordanian embassy in Israel to the center, effective from 15-7-2026.
It is known that such a step does not mean withdrawing the ambassador in protest against a particular policy.
Diplomatically, transferring an ambassador is considered a routine administrative procedure, meaning the ambassador is moving to end their duties in one country to assume another position in their home country (such as working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) or to take up an embassy in another country, which is a natural procedure that carries no negative political implications.
