Arrest of a Citizen from Tajikistan on Charges of Espionage for Iran in Israel
SadaNews - The Israeli security agency, represented by the General Security Service "Shin Bet" and the security directorate, announced the arrest of a foreign national from Tajikistan holding a Russian passport, on charges of espionage and working for Iranian intelligence within Israel, according to reports from the Israeli army radio.
The joint security statement clarified that the suspect carried out a series of sensitive espionage activities, including tracking and documenting missile landing sites and sending data directly to the Iranian side, in addition to providing them with precise coordinates for the vital "Azrieli Towers" in Tel Aviv.
The Israeli statement also indicated that the suspect managed to photograph strategic facilities, including the Port of Haifa, as well as monitoring and attempting to capture images and field information concerning a highly sensitive security facility located in the northern region, before being detained by the relevant authorities.
