Fattouh: The Escalation of Settler Attacks Is a Serious Escalation in a Policy of Organized Ethnic Cleansing
SadaNews - The Chairman of the Palestinian National Council, Rouhi Fattouh, stated that the escalation of terrorist settler attacks last night in Turmusaya and numerous Palestinian villages and towns, which included burning homes and properties, uprooting olive trees, stealing livestock, and terrorizing children, women, and unarmed civilians, represents a serious escalation in a systematic policy of ethnic cleansing implemented by the far-right government through its armed colonial arms.
Fattouh emphasized in a press statement today, Sunday, that these crimes are not isolated incidents but part of an official plan based on full partnership between the military establishment and settler gangs, where planning, financing, arming, and protection intertwine into a single system, proving that settler terrorism is a governmental tool for implementing policies of forced displacement, ethnic cleansing, and seizing land through organized violence.
Fattouh stressed that what is happening to the Palestinian villages and towns constitutes war crimes and crimes against humanity, necessitating the imposition of harsh international sanctions on settler gangs and holding accountable the ministers of the occupying government who lead and incite these criminal formations, and implementing international justice, as the impunity of criminals encourages the continuation and escalation of the crime.
