Unexpected Illness.. Artist Abdel Aziz Makhioun Transferred to Hospital
SadaNews - The Egyptian artist Abdel Aziz Makhioun suffered a sudden health crisis, after which he was transferred to a private hospital in Cairo to receive the necessary medical care and undergo checks and medical analyses to assess the developments in his health condition.
The young artist Ayman Amir announced the news through his official account on the social media site "Facebook", where he shared a photo of himself with the prominent artist from inside the hospital room while he was on his sickbed, and commented saying: "Please pray for the dear artist Abdel Aziz Makhioun.".
Upon spreading the news, a state of concern prevailed among the great artist's audience and his colleagues in the artistic community, who flooded the comments wishing him a swift recovery.
Abdel Aziz Makhioun, born in Beheira Governorate in 1943, is one of the most prominent figures in Egyptian art. He graduated from the High Institute of Theatrical Arts, and his career has varied between theater, cinema, and television drama over more than five decades.
An Enriching Artistic Journey
Makhioun's name is associated with the great directors of Egyptian cinema, and he has portrayed roles that are etched in the memory of viewers. Among his most prominent cinematic works are the films "The Escape" and "The Innocent" with director Atef El Tayeb and superstar Ahmed Zaki.
He also distinguished himself in portraying the character of the great musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab in the series "Um Kulthum" and the film "Kawkab Al Sharq".
In television drama, Makhioun participated in masterpieces of Egyptian series, including "Lailat Al Hulmia" where he played the role of Taha Al Samahi, and the series "Al Shahd Wal Dumuع", "Bawabat El Helwanny", and "Al Gomaa".
Makhioun continued to shine in recent years with complex and distinctive roles in series such as "El Prince", "Geziret Ghamam", and "Souq Al Kanto".
