Widespread Raids in the West Bank and Jerusalem; Arrests Include Mayor of Ta'lin

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of extensive raids and arrests on Monday morning and dawn, targeting several cities and towns in the West Bank.

In Hebron, the forces arrested two young men after raiding and searching their homes, namely Ra'fat Ahmad Mahmoud Abu Juhisha from the town of Idna west of the city, and Bashar Idris Matur from the town of Sa'ir northeast of it, amid reports of their exposure to abuse and beatings.

The forces also set up military checkpoints at the entrances of the city and its towns, and closed main and secondary roads with iron gates and earth mounds.

In Nablus, eight Palestinians were arrested, including a woman, following a raid on the Al-Ain camp and the homes within it, in addition to the arrest of another young man from Asira Street after raiding one of the homes in the city.

In Ramallah, the forces arrested a young man from the village of Beit Ein after raiding a house, along with raids in the city of Al-Bireh and the arrest of the mayor of Ni'lin, Imad Al-Khawaja, following a raid on his home.

In Bethlehem, a young man named Maik Karim Saad was arrested from the city of Beit Sahour after searching his family's home, while several towns in the governorate witnessed incursions without recording additional arrests.

The occupation forces also stormed the town of Hazma east of Jerusalem and conducted military movements in its streets, while the incursions also included areas in Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nablus, including Qabatiya, the village of Qafin, and the Al-Ain camp, during which young man Ala Abu Hatab was arrested in Jenin.
