The Gathering Condemns Ben Gvir's Raid on Al-Aqsa and Assault on the "Saturday of Light" March
SadaNews - The National Democratic Assembly condemned today, Sunday, the repeated incursions of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, along with his performance of Talmudic rituals in its courtyards, considering this a "flagrant attack and serious provocation aimed at enforcing temporal and spatial division, and it affects the status quo in the Al-Haram Al-Qudsi Al-Sharif, as well as a direct affront to the feelings of Muslims and Arabs."
The Assembly warned against "treating these incursions as a normal occurrence," affirming that they "are part of a systematic policy targeting Islamic and Christian sanctities, which is also reflected in the assaults on worshippers during the 'Saturday of Light' march at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher."
The statement indicated that "this escalation reflects a governmental approach based on repression and aggression against the Palestinian people in various places of their presence, without regard for the ramifications of this behavior on the conditions in the region."
The Assembly concluded with a "call for Arab and Islamic countries to assume their responsibilities and take urgent action to stop these assaults," also urging the people to "make their way to Jerusalem and strengthen their presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in support of the city's residents and in rejection of Judaization policies."
