Extension of the detention of activist Tamer Khalifa from Umm al-Fahm for 7 days on security charges
SadaNews - The Magistrate's Court in Haifa extended today, Tuesday, the detention of activist Tamer Khalifa from the city of Umm al-Fahm for 7 days, following his arrest yesterday from his home in the Al-Ayoun neighborhood of Umm al-Fahm.
The occupying police raided Khalifa's home yesterday, where they searched the residence and damaged its contents, according to the family.
The police had requested to extend Khalifa's detention for 15 days, but the court extended his detention for 7 days. The police allege that Khalifa is under suspicion of security offenses including "contacting a foreign agent".
Khalifa is undergoing ongoing investigations by the police and the General Security Service (Shin Bet).
