Ambassador Sharif Malouh Presents His Credentials to the Angolan President as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Palestine

SadaNews - Today, Thursday, Ambassador Sharif Malouh presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Angola, Joao Lourenco, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Angola. The official handover ceremony took place at the presidential palace in the capital, Luanda, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Council of Ministers.

Ambassador Malouh conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas, the leadership, the government, and the Palestinian people to the Angolan President and the Government and people of Angola, expressing the Palestinian leadership's appreciation for Angola's support for our people and their legitimate national cause.

He also discussed during the meeting the latest political and field developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation against our people, and the escalation of unlawful unilateral measures aimed at annexing the West Bank and imposing Israeli sovereignty over it.

For his part, the President of the Republic of Angola reaffirmed his country’s firm position in support of the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state, reiterating that Angola will always stand with the Palestinian cause in all international forums.

During the meeting, the importance of strengthening and developing the robust bilateral relations between the two friendly countries to serve both peoples was emphasized.
