Netherlands Sets September Deadline for Ban on Settlement Products
SadaNews - The Dutch government announced on Tuesday that as of September 22, 2026, a ban on the import, purchase, sale, and marketing of products coming from Israeli settlements in the West Bank will come into effect.
This decision, which was approved in May of this year and officially enacted after obtaining an opinion from the Dutch Council of State, is based on the government's position that these settlements are illegal under international law.
Under the new decision, not only will the import of products from these settlements be banned, but the purchase and sale of them within the Netherlands will also be prohibited.
