Sheikh Holds Meeting with Security Leaders to Follow Up on Current Developments

SadaNews - The Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Hussein Al-Sheikh, held a meeting with security leaders, attended by the Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, and the Assistant Commander of the Security Forces, Major General Hajj Ismail Jabr, to discuss the latest political and security developments and to follow up on current conditions.

During the meeting, the overall political and security developments on the Palestinian scene were reviewed, in light of regional and international changes, and their implications on the Palestinian reality were discussed, alongside ways to enhance national preparedness, establish the rule of law, and maintain security and stability, to ensure the protection of citizens and strengthen their resilience.

Al-Sheikh emphasized during the meeting the importance of continuing coordination and integration among various official institutions, and strengthening joint work between the political leadership and the security agencies, in a way that contributes to raising performance efficiency, solidifying security and stability, and confronting the challenges facing our people during this critical phase.

He stressed the necessity of continuing to work with a spirit of national responsibility, maintaining the highest levels of preparedness and discipline, and enhancing citizens' confidence in official institutions, asserting that security and stability are fundamental pillars for safeguarding the national project and preserving our people's rights and national constants, amid the challenges facing the Palestinian cause.

Security leaders also reviewed a number of priority files, foremost among them enhancing security readiness, raising the level of coordination between the relevant agencies, continuing efforts aimed at protecting internal security, maintaining civil peace, and providing the best services to citizens in accordance with the law.
