Lt. General Al-Natsha Undergoes Lengthy Interrogation at Moskobiya Regarding His Representation of the Palestinian Leadership in Jerusalem

SadaNews - The Israeli intelligence released Lt. General Bilal Al-Natsha, the Secretary-General of the Popular National Conference for Jerusalem, this afternoon, Tuesday, following several hours of interrogation at the "Moskobiya" investigation and detention center in occupied Jerusalem.

According to attorney Ahmad Safiya, who defended Lt. General Al-Natsha, the interrogation sessions focused on his national and social activities in Jerusalem, particularly regarding his representation of the President and his Deputy, in addition to his efforts in supporting Jerusalemite students and helping them continue their education at Palestinian universities.

Attorney Safiya clarified that the occupying authorities decided to release Lt. General Al-Natsha under restrictive conditions, the most prominent of which is prohibiting him from engaging in any activities that the Israeli authorities consider as representing the Palestinian leadership in Jerusalem.

Yesterday, Monday, the occupation forces raided Lt. General Al-Natsha's home in the Sharafat neighborhood of Jerusalem, but he was not present at the time of the raid. They handed his brother a notification requesting him to come to the "Moskobiya" investigation center this afternoon. He complied with the summons before undergoing a lengthy interrogation that lasted several hours, ending with his release under the aforementioned conditions.

This measure is part of an ongoing Israeli policy targeting national figures, leaders, and Palestinian institutions operating in Jerusalem through summons, interrogation, and imposing administrative restrictions, in efforts to limit any official or national Palestinian presence in the occupied city.

The restrictions imposed by the occupation authorities on Lt. General Bilal Al-Natsha come as an extension of Israeli procedures aimed at reducing the Palestinian political and official presence in East Jerusalem, a city that international law considers part of the occupied Palestinian territories since 1967.
