Organizations of the Temple Prepare for the Largest Raid on Al-Aqsa on What is Called the 'Temple's Destruction Anniversary'

SadaNews - The Jerusalem governorate warned of the escalation of plans led by extremist "Temple" organizations to carry out the largest mass raid on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during what is called the "Temple's Destruction Anniversary," which falls next Thursday.

The governorate confirmed in a statement issued Tuesday evening that what is happening is no longer just an activity organized by extremist groups, but has become part of an official Israeli policy aimed at imposing new realities within Al-Aqsa Mosque and undermining its historical and legal status, paving the way for entrenching a division plan in time and space.

The governorate emphasized that the field and political data observed in recent days indicate the existence of a broad mobilization plan led by "Temple" organizations, aiming to achieve a new record in the number of raiders by surpassing the number recorded last year, which was (4,000) raiders in one day, with a declared effort to reach (5,000) raiders, a goal that these organizations have been working gradually to achieve since 2021.

It noted that the raids related to this occasion have witnessed a continuous escalation in recent years, as the number of raiders reached about (2,200) settlers in 2022 and 2023, rising to (3,000) in 2024, and then to (4,000) in 2025, indicating a clear plan for a gradual escalation aimed at establishing this occasion as the largest annual season for raiding Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The governorate added that the first indicators of mobilization this year emerged with the beginning of the Hebrew month of "Av," as (677) settlers raided Al-Aqsa Mosque on July 15, which is one of the highest numbers of raiders during the beginning of the Hebrew month, reflecting the scale of mobilization led by "Temple" organizations in preparation for the central raid day.

It pointed out that this mobilization was accompanied by a political and official escalation, represented by holding a conference in the Israeli Knesset entitled: "A Decade of Positive Progress on the Temple Mount after 59 Years of Its Recovery," with the participation of three ministers and seven Knesset members, during which open calls were made to change the existing status in Al-Aqsa Mosque and to allow the establishment of prayers and Talmudic rituals inside it completely, along with demands to restrict Muslim access to it, which represents a clear political acknowledgment of adopting the project to impose Israeli sovereignty over Al-Aqsa Mosque, in blatant violation of international law and UN and UNESCO resolutions, which affirm that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, with its total area of (144) dunams, is a purely Islamic place of worship.

The governorate also pointed to calls issued by "Temple" organizations to organize what is called the "Sovereignty March in Jerusalem" tomorrow evening, on the eve of the raid, starting from what is known as the "Independence Garden," established over the historic Islamic Ma'man Allah cemetery, and winding around the gates of the Old City reaching the Buraq Square, in an attempt to impose new colonial sovereign manifestations in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, linking it to the annual raiding season.

The Jerusalem governorate emphasized that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, with its total area of (144) dunams, is purely Islamic, and that all Israeli measures aimed at changing its identity, character, or historical and legal status are null and void.
