US Army Announces Completion of the 11th Night of Strikes on Iran

SadaNews - The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the completion of the eleventh consecutive night of military strikes against Iran, confirming the targeting of military operations centers, naval capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone warehouses, and military logistical facilities.

The command stated that the strikes aim to continue weakening Iran's ability to threaten commercial navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

It added that Iran has attacked more than 30 commercial vessels in the past three months while crossing the international waterway, endangering hundreds of seafarers and undermining freedom of navigation.

The Central Command confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to the movement of commercial ships, noting that its forces have contributed since early May to the safe passage of around 900 commercial vessels and approximately 450 million barrels of crude oil through the strait.

For its part, Iran activated its air defenses in the capital Tehran on Wednesday, amid reports of strikes and explosions in various parts of the country, just hours after the United States announced the completion of the eleventh consecutive night of its military operations against Iran.

The Iranian state television reported increased activity of air defenses in western, eastern, and northeastern Tehran, while the "IRNA" news agency mentioned that explosions occurred in Bushehr province, which houses the country's only nuclear power plant, along with strikes in southern and northwestern Iran.
