Occupation Issues Military Order to Seize 5 Dunams of Land in Jaba'

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces have issued a military order to seize 5 dunams and 283 square meters of land in the town of Jaba', north of occupied Jerusalem, under the pretext of using it for "military purposes".

According to military order number (30/26/T), the decision includes a plot of land extending 725 meters in the areas of Al-Mantir, Ras Al-Marj, and Sha'ab Al-Ghazoul, with the seizure order remaining in effect until December 31, 2028.

The Jerusalem Governorate explained today, Tuesday, that the decision comes as part of plans to pave a settler road extending from highway 60 near the Jaba' checkpoint to the separation wall adjacent to the "Nabi Yaqub" settlement built on citizens' lands.

It emphasized that military seizure orders serve as a tool to impose new facts on the ground, through the control of Palestinian lands and the expansion of road networks connected to settlements, which enhances the isolation of Palestinian communities from their geographical surroundings.

It stressed that settler road projects are not limited to what the occupation claims to be military or otherwise, but are linked to actual annexation plans and connecting settlements with occupied Jerusalem at the expense of Palestinian lands.
