Abu Al-Homs: "I call on the brothers in the Central Committee to adopt the statement of brother Tawfiq Al-Tiraoui as an official position of Fatah Movement"

SadaNews - Rayed Abu Al-Homs, the head of the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, called this Sunday morning on the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement to adopt the statement issued by Central Committee member Tawfiq Al-Tiraoui as an official position of the Fatah Movement regarding the non-disbursement of allowances for the families of martyrs, detainees, and injured individuals, while excluding the Tamkeen Foundation from all the details of the scene, given that its policies deny the struggles of our people.

Abu Al-Homs said: "The statement by brother Tawfiq Al-Tiraoui came at a time when we found hundreds and thousands of detainees and ex-detainees, most of whom are leaders and cadres of the Fatah Movement, who spent many years in detention, alongside thousands of families of martyrs and injured individuals in a state of tension and confusion, due to the policies and decisions taken by the Tamkeen Foundation, which sought to transform groups of activists into special social categories, according to a social survey form that contradicts all our values and national and human ethics, as it contained questions that undermine their struggle values and concern the journey of the Palestinian people and their sacrifices."

He added, "From day one, we have affirmed that we appreciate the pressures on the Palestinian National Authority, and that we base our work on the instructions of His Excellency President Abu Mazen, on the basis of preserving the material and moral rights of the detainees and their families, which he publicly stated before the Revolutionary Council of the Fatah Movement. There is ongoing communication with the Vice President of the State of Palestine, brother Hussein Al-Sheikh, and we informed him of our conviction for ongoing cooperation and showed all forms of flexibility with all relevant parties and entities. About a month ago, we reached a general and comprehensive agreement in an official meeting, but unfortunately, the day after the agreement, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Tamkeen Foundation, Ahmad Majdalani, reneged on it, and each time he placed the responsibility on the President."

Abu Al-Homs pointed out that there is tremendous effort being made by the head of the General Intelligence Service, brother Major General Majed Faraj, who has taken upon himself a heavy burden to achieve justice for our detainees and ex-detainees. Daily, he is in contact and following up, and he has a noble position in appreciating the struggle and sacrifices of these activists. Additionally, the Deputy Head of the Movement, brother activist Abu Jihad Al-Aloul, prioritizes this issue, communicates with the government and all parties, and informed them that what is happening to our detainees and activists and their families is unacceptable and that convincing solutions must be reached. From here, we see an urgent and pressing need to unify all efforts to overcome these serious failures that have been caused by the Tamkeen Foundation and its leaders, and it is more appropriate for the leadership of this foundation to be undertaken by those who have genuinely invested in the struggle and national capital from members of the Central Committee and the Revolutionary Council, so that the discourse is Palestinian and the desire is Palestinian, and not an appeasement to and submission to Israel, America, and the West."

Abu Al-Homs concluded by saying that the statements of the Tamkeen Foundation in its latest statement carried unprecedented danger, and audacity to the extent of claiming that a large number of those who were receiving allowances do not need them. Here we ask Mr. Majdalani and those working with him in this foundation, how dare you speak in this tone? What have you offered in comparison to what our martyrs, detainees, and injured individuals and their families have offered? And today we say it loudly: enough of your arrogance! You have insulted the holiest segment of the Palestinian people; were it not for their struggles and sacrifices, you would not be where you are now.
